SYSTEM 02 · VISUAL SYSTEMS

THE LOGO GETS
THE CREDIT.

THE SYSTEM DOES THE WORK.

A logo is a mark. An identity is the machine that puts it everywhere, the same way, without you policing it. I build the machine — logo system, type, color, layout, the guide that runs them — so the brand holds on surfaces you haven’t invented yet. Built to survive the real world, not just the deck.

01

THE PROBLEM

DESIGNED ONCE.

REMADE EVERY WEEK.

Launch day, everything matched. Then the business kept moving — new deck, new campaign, new channel — and every asset got remade by whoever needed it that day. Each version a little off. None of them wrong enough to stop.

That’s drift, and it isn’t a taste problem. It’s a missing-parts problem. A style lives in one person’s hands; a system lives in files, rules, and templates anyone can run. Without the system, consistency is a full-time job — and right now it’s yours. Consistency is what a system buys. What it's consistent about comes from the positionand a system built on an unsettled one just makes the confusion repeatable.

Nobody ever sees the brand guide. Everybody sees what shipped — and what shipped is the brand.

02

THE FIX

SIX COMPONENTS.
ZERO DRIFT.

A visual system isn’t a style. It’s a set of decisions your team stops re-making. The six components below are the parts a Visual Systems Build can draw from. The Diagnostic decides which need to be built, repaired, or retained — and whatever ships must work for a non-designer without breaking.

FIELD NOTE

IN POSITION. ON BRAND.
LOOKING GOOD.

One case: the system above, built for a family jeweler with forty years on the sign.

Trust is earned at the counter. It’s carried by the system.

03

BUILD PHASE

FOUR PHASES.
NO MYSTERY.

No mood boards, no big reveal. The process is structured, transparent, and built around working sessions where you watch the identity take shape. The Diagnostic comes first. If Visual Systems is the right move, the written read becomes the brief for the four phases below.

04

INVESTMENT

NOT PRICED OFF A MENU.
SCOPED BY THE DIAGNOSTIC.

Build engagements run $10K–$60K. You don’t have to figure out where Visual Systems lands inside that range — that’s the Diagnostic’s job. The exact number is fixed, in writing, before you sign.

Your written scope names which system components are included. Working sessions, handoff, and the 30 / 60 / 90-day rollout plan are standard in every Build.

Builds start at $10K — under two months of a $65K–$100K marketing hire.

THE FIRST STEP

Every Build starts with a Diagnostic, and it decides whether Visual Systems is the move at all. If it isn’t, you stop there. The full Diagnostic fee is credited toward a Build or Direction engagement started within 90 days of the Diagnostic call.

Build is the engagement above. Direction is ongoing senior judgment — from $4,500/mo, month-to-month.

IS THIS FOR YOU

THE HONEST FIT CHECK.

I say no to the wrong projects so the right ones get done. Here’s the truth about who this is and isn’t built for.

THE CLOSER

CONSISTENCY ISN’T YOUR JOB.

It’s the system’s — and every week without one, you’re paying for it in your hours.

The Diagnostic is where the system starts.
